stevenrosas:

I challenge you this Valentine’s Day, do not focus merely on the things that you get or the things that you give. Focus on the other person. What would make him or her happy? How can you show you really care? Even more challenging, why not make the spirit of this Valentine’s day last the whole year long? Why not show everlasting love for the other person? Why not make Valentine’s day everyday? Why wait to show someone how much you care? Why Seek to knock down instead of uplift? In short, put the other person first in all things. Make sure you go out of your way to make your partner feel loved daily. Do those small simple things, that matter to them the most. It is written that love suffers long, and is kind; love envies not; love vaunts not; is not puffed up, does not behave itself unseemly, seeks not her own, is not easily provoked, thinks no evil; rejoices not in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Valentine’s Day should be instead treated like an important part of every relationship, and better still, it should be representative of the things couples should be celebrating every single day of their relationship. Romance and passion should not be reserved for one single night a year for a couple. Instead it should be something they celebrate in small ways every single day. A strong relationship is one where each partner expresses their feelings, tells of their devotion and shows that little bit of passion throughout the year, not just one day of it you know? Each day you should try to do something special for your partner. A big, long passionate kiss. A date night at the movies. A night on the phone without the distraction of the television. All these things tend to be reserved for special nights such as Valentine’s Day or anniversaries, but couples would be far happier and ever lasting if they took the time to make every day romantic like Valentine’s Day. <3
